Age: 12 years old (10 for junior divers)
Course Duration: 2 days, 5 dives, maximum of 3 dives per day.
Maximum Depths: The maximum for any dive is 30m; 21m for 12-14 y/olds; 12m for 10-11 y/olds

The advanced program provides divers with a structured means to explore special diving interests and gain experience.  With no tests, pool time or classroom work, the program allows you customise your training path and learn various underwater tasks that broaden awareness of the environment and capabilities. A total of five dives are needed for certification (Deep and Navigation being mandatory).
 
The variety of dives, scheduling options and certification paths make this course appealing to all Open Water divers who are looking for the next level in training.  Each adventure dive may count as credit towards the first dive of the PADI specialty course. i.e.; (Digital Underwater Photography).

Before diving, simply read and complete each chapter of the chosen dives from the ‘Adventures in Diving’ manual.  Your PADI instructor will review and clarify any appropriate information that is missed, so that you are safe for diving and fully understand the subject matter.
 
The best thing about the course is the dive training available in one area.  Whether it is fine tuning your buoyancy skills or navigating a search pattern for a lost object.  The Advanced course locks-on and targets undiscovered, exciting specialties to novice divers.

Once certified, you can dive to an awesome 30m with a buddy independently of an instructor.  You will also be able to enjoy a variety of diving styles all around the world.  Deep dive to 30m, ride an action packed drift dive, navigate like a pro!  The possibilities are endless.
 
Divers looking for a challenge should aim their sights on the rewarding and prestigious RESCUE DIVER and DIVEMASTER programs.  Both actually build upon skills learnt during the course and require the advanced ticket in order to progress through PADI.
